FLW International LLC is looking for Character Artist
duration - Indefinite
Job details: Primary Responsibilities:
Research and development on characters designs for the game
Extensive experience with mesh/UV skills, with specific focus on Characters/Creatures
Solid understanding of 3D Art production processes/pipelines
Understanding and application of complex material shaders
Creating textures from scratch, using photo reference materials, layering/compositing
Work closely with Lead Artists and Animators to create great-looking characters
Excellent communication skills
Organizational skills and technical aptitude necessary
Required:
B.A or equivalent
Must have at least 2 years of industry experience
Must have shipped at least one reputable title
Strong proficiency with one or more of the following 3D packages: Maya, Softimage, 3D Studio Max, Lightwave
Must be proficient with Adobe Photoshop
Preferences:
Strong knowledge of anatomy
Experience using Z-Brush is a plus
Conceptual art skills and experience with Normal mapping is preferable
Knowledge of weighting models to skeletons and animations is also preferable
Must be highly motivated. Be able to perform job duties safely and satisfactorily
