The HR manager position focuses on three primary areas; benefits, recruiting, and managing the office.

The HR manager position ensures that employee benefits are obtained and maintained for all full-time employees. General Human Resources responsibilities are also necessary to keep Edge of Reality in compliance with all federal and state requirements for employers.

The HR manager position focuses on the assessment of applicants as well as actively seeking out potential hires for varied positions in our studio. This is an integral part of the interviewing and selection cycle and requires extensive experience in sourcing and hiring candidates.

The HR manager must manage and support basic office functions such as purchasing supplies, ordering food and drink, answering the general office phone, and other miscellaneous office support tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Finding and attracting candidates.
Assessing candidate applications on a daily basis for a full range of roles from entry-level positions to senior management.
Applying a hands-on approach to all stages of the recruitment process: screening applicants, phone interviews, scheduling face-to-face interviews, etc.
Attending various trade shows to represent Edge of Reality and seek out potential hires.
Picking up key recruits at the airport and making sure that their travel and stay goes smoothly.
Managing accounts payable.
Managing employee benefits.
General HR-related tasks.
Purchasing equipment and supplies.
Ordering food and drinks.
Answering the general office phone.

REQUIREMENTS:
Desire to manage benefits, recruiting and manage the office a must
Must have highly developed organizational and communication skills
Must be self-motivated
Solid computer skills
Minimum of 3 years recruitment experience at a game studio
Hands-on knowledge of sourcing and attracting candidates
Previous experience of traditional as well as web-based methods of attracting and sourcing staff
Strong knowledge and passion for technology; high level of comfort with all types of computer applications
Thorough understanding of insurance benefits, 401(k) and payroll processes
Ability to learn and retain the details of Edge of Reality's benefits plan
Familiarity with basic federal and state HR rules and regulations for employers

PREFERED ADDITIONAL SKILLS
University degree or equivalent, Human Resources studies are a plus
Experience with applicant tracking systems
