Job details: Outsource Manager Summary:
Relic Entertainment, award winning developers of Homeworld, Dawn of War and Company of Heroes, is looking for an experienced, motivated Outsource Manager to manage the internal and external aspects of outsourcing for Relic projects. This includes both developing and managing relationships with outsource vendors, as well as managing the internal process, from concept to delivery, in conjunction with the Producers and Leads on a given project. This position is a highly critical role to the game pipeline. The right individual will be highly organized, self-managed, and an excellent communicator.

Responsibilities:
Work with various projects to determine outsourcing needs
Work with all departments to gather all related material and technical needs in conjunction with THQ XDG (External Development Group)
Work with department leads to develop schedules, tracking documents and project due dates
Manage and maintain the asset tracking system while providing input on improvements and optimizations of that system.
Work with internal staff to identify efficient pipelines for external development
Collaborate with and provide THQ XDG all necessary reference/specification for external development
Work with THQ XDG to determine best outsource houses to use, and best practices to follow
Research, identify and negotiate with outsourcing firms when required
Review completed deliverables for accuracy and thoroughness often will be in conjunction with internal staff
Compile deliverables in an organized and easily accessible manner for internal staff & departments
With department leads, manage feedback on asset corrections, modifications and updates
With THQ XDG, plan any future external development needs
In conjunction with THQ XDG, handle any disputes with outsource firms
Provide Directors and Management with weekly summaries of completed deliverables and due dates
Drive and evangelize the external development needs of the studio
Requirements:
1+ years of Production or related experience (project/people managing, and/or as an artist) in the Game industry
Must be fluent in English
Must speak fluent Mandarin Chinese
Proven strong negotiation, mediation and conflict resolution skills
Effective communication skills (written & verbal) across all levels must recognize the service this position provides
Superior organizational skills
Strong aptitude for art oriented software
Strong analytical skills
Highly self motivated
