Job details: Online Sales Account Manager CMP's Game Group is seeking a qualified Online Sales Account Manager for its Game Division to sell its professional game publication Game Developer Magazine and website Gamasutra. Each property is the industry leader in reaching a global audience of game developers.

Responsibilities:
Accountable for achieving sales goals within an assigned territory which has key accounts.
Develops new business opportunities
Ensures that CMP's Game Properties have representation in customers GDC, Game Devloper or gamasutra.com vehicles on key launches.
Managing the 1st and 2nd tier accounts for our Game client companies; Serve as a liaison from CMP's Game Group to the customer; Serves as a liaison from the region to the Director.
Keep CMP's Game division abreast of news and changes with the customer.
Responsible for obtaining key information from customer on a weekly basis. i.e. Competitive information from other publishers, updates on competitor Game releases, pre-sell information, etc.
Provide weekly account status to Sales Director.
Provide quarterly and yearly account goals to Sales Director.
Present CMP Game properties to customer in a knowledgeable and professional manner. Educated and up to date on games industry. Educated on CMPs performance in relation to the industry.
Knowledge of CMP's Game properties.
Utilize sales presentation materials effectively.
Utilize industry reports to emphasis CMP's Game Group goals.
Works directly with customer to coordinate and conduct sales negotiations.
Actively makes suggestions on how to resolve client objections or hurdles with Sales Director.
Provides solutions to situations to the Director; Provides analytical documents that support suggested decisions to the Sales Director.
Trouble shooting any account issues
Fulfilling client requests
Closes deals as needed
Travel Required.
Qualifications:
2-5 years in previous sales position.
Must have experience calling on national buying levels at major retailer accounts.
Knowledge of game industry a plus. (PC/Console/Online)
Must have strong organizational skills, be detail oriented and able to multi task
Must be a self-starter
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Successful track record of selling integrated media.
