Summary Description: The Business Development Manager, Licensing and Partnerships is responsible for developing and managing partnerships and financial models that will help grow the Smiley Central brand and My Web Search usage and revenue. The ideal candidate will also be experienced in identifying user and market trends and defining the product vision and strategy.

Responsibilities:

- Lead in all aspects of deal development: prospecting, sourcing, negotiating and closing

- Identify user needs and trends through market and competitive analysis, analysis of feedback and usability reporting.

- Partnership management and optimization

- Modeling economics of existing and prospective deals

- Participation in strategy development efforts, including competitive analyses & market landscape research

- Develop and apply project strategy to new and existing products.

- Provides leadership and coaching to other functional groups.

Technical Skill Level:

- Strong financial modeling skills.

- Strong comfort with profitability projections and finance in general.

- Strong understanding of the Internet media business and associated business models.

- Prior strategic planning and project management experience in a web-based environment.

- A creative/technical background that will allow you to develop and evaluate product issues effectively

Professional Skill Level:

- The ability to lead and direct the work of others.

- The ability to work effectively in a cross functional team environment

- Strong organizational skills

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Strong negotiation, analytical problem-solving

- Financial modeling and deal structuring skills.

- Strong teamwork focus and work ethic and ability to adapt to change.

Required Experience:

- 3-5 years Business Development, Senior Sales Manager, or Senior Account Manager experience with successful track record managing major accounts at Internet Company or offline Media Company

- Undergraduate degree
