Job Description:
The ZiZo Group is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager ready to roll up his/her sleeves to help create, execute and manage strategic marketing initiatives for a major online video game community and competition platform around FPS, sports and similar videogames for PC, Xbox, Playstation, etc. This position will be responsible for driving and delivering on all marketing objectives including increasing site traffic, registration and engagement. In addition, the Marketing Manager will work with existing partners as well as to help develop new strategic partners (platform provides, publishers and brands) to create non-traditional marketing initiates that facilitate videogame competition and community. This project is being launched in partnership with a Fortune 500 company.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Define and execute a strategic marketing plan that is laser focused on delivering value by driving online traffic, registration, engagement and commerce to increase sales and brand exposure via online and offline marketing initiatives.
- Define and execute plan for key strategic partnerships that will bring exposure, credibility and activity to brand.
- Define and execute a plan for consumer offline marketing activity including local college events and national events, merchandise and non traditional grassroots and viral marketing.
- Define and execute a plan for consumer online marketing activity including non traditional Web 2.0 community/social networking and viral marketing programs.
- Work with management team to identify and manage specific opportunities and issues.
- Work with major retail chains, entertainment publications, gaming publishers, and entertainment trade bodies on cross-promotion and placement of brand.
- Identify, negotiate, and execute cross-promotion and barter agreements to grow awareness and leverage the gaming and entertainment aspects of the brand.
- Work with existing partners and sponsors to create, manage and execute co-promotional activities that drive online traffic, registration and engagement.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree.
- 6+ years in entertainment marketing, ideally with online and gaming experience.
- Demonstrated ability to create and successfully execute both online and offline strategic marketing, consumer promotions and partnerships with media companies, corporate sponsors and the entertainment industry
- Experience creating and managing an online brand identity.
- Experience developing and executing local college marketing initiatives and events.
-Experience developing and executing non traditional Web 2.0 community/social networking and viral marketing programs.
- Experience working with interactive vendors and interactive marketing applications (e.g. web stats reporting, email vendors, interactive design firms, etc.)
- Established industry connections with an ability to hit the ground running.
- Proficiency with contracts and negotiation and understanding of media value.
- A thorough understanding of the future of digital media.
- Confident presenter with a clear, focused communication style.
- High energy self-starter who thrives in a fluid, entrepreneurial environment.
- Background and interest in online video gaming.
- Pulse on the college market and 18-24 demographic.
- Someone passionate and looking to LOVE their job!
