Cranky Pants Games is looking for ANIMATOR
duration - Full Time
Job details: ANIMATOR Responsible for rigging, weighting, and animating the characters for the game. This person will work with the art director and animation lead to help create the look and feel of character movement. They will be responsible for both in game and cutscene animation an any other work deemed necessary.
2 - 5 years experience in the gaming industry as an Animator required!
Responsibilities:
Rigging and animating characters
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to contribute innovative and original ideas towards all aspects of the game art and production
Ability to set an example for all team members by regularly demonstrating strong work ethics, quality of work, teamwork, motivation, and solid leadership.
Maintain effective and strong working relationships with managers and coworkers Ability to work fast but not sacrifice quality
Knowledge of game production pipeline Qualifications/Education
Excellent traditional art skills, including sketching, illustration, textures, and compositional theory.
2 year Associates degree or 4 year Bachelor Degree in Art/Design or equivalent industry experience
Thorough understanding of the technical aspects of animation
Knowledge of other disciplines with 3D art, namel; modeling, special effects, lighting, and rendering
Maya experience
Cutscene experience is a plus
