The Disney Online Premium Content team creates, markets and operates a variety of products that seek to provide relevant, engaging and creative premium online content to our guests.
We are looking for an experienced, creative and motivated Producer to develop, launch and maintain our Massively Multiplayer Online Games products. These currently include Toontown Online, Pirates of the Caribbean Online, Hot Shot Business, and other products currently in development.
The Producer is central to the successful ongoing operation of these product lines. The Producer is responsible for scheduling, asset sourcing, and budgeting. This person will track and coordinate the development of the teams products, ensuring deliverables are met in a timely manner, and reporting progress to management. This person will also oversee quality assurance testing and product deployment.
A list of responsibilities includes:
Define and write Technical Design Documents and Functional Specifications.
Create and maintain development schedules.
Create and maintain budgets.
Obtaining necessary legal clearances.
Obtaining management approvals for team initiatives.
Manage the flow of assets and information between teams and team members.
Manage the QA process.
Prepare presentation material and demos.
Prepare traffic and usage reports on an as-needed basis.
Coordinate contracts and contract amendments.
Coordinate payment of invoices for outside vendors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Three years experience in web content production and familiarity with web production tools; two years additional experience game production. Must have a solid understanding of the Internet, the technologies employed and the tradeoff issues involved. Must have experience managing the QA process. Must set and achieve the highest standards. Must be enthusiastic about Disneys franchises and the content that Disney can deliver over the Internet. Must be an enthusiastic game player.
Self starter with high level of initiative
Passionate, committed and high level of energy
Strong sense of ownership and urgency
Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines
Strategic critical thinker who also has a high attention to detail
Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
Ability to analyze and apply data to improve results
Team player
Excellent organizational skills
SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED:
Must be familiar with the technologies required for subscription-based and one-time purchase based Internet products. Must have a working knowledge of html, Macromedia Flash, Adobe Photoshop and FTP client software. Must be well versed in project management software including Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio. Must have a solid technical background. Must be adept at technical problem solving. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
