University of Louisiana at Monroe is looking for Media Production

Job details: Successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in video production and supervise co-curricular productions. Additional teaching assignments could include audio production, electronic news gathering, scriptwriting, copywriting, media analysis and criticism, and introductory mass communications courses. The successful candidate should preferably be able to teach and develop courses in web design and interactive multimedia. Faculty responsibilities also include participating in student advisement, engaging in scholarly/professional activity, and providing institutional and professional service. Preferred qualifications include the M.F.A. or Ph.D in Mass Communications, Communication or related field, as well as electronic media industry experience. Experience teaching studio and field video production are necessary. Working knowledge of camera operation, lighting, audio recording, video switching, effects generation, operation of digital video record/play back systems, Avid, After Effects, and other major software and hardward technologies needed. Additional experience with web design, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and Flash is a major plus.
