Job details: Headquartered in Southern California, our client employs more than 100 developers and is currently working on original properties for next-gen consoles. Responsibilities:
-Develop real time effects utilizing particle sprites
-Develop pre-rendered effects for use in video game cinematics
-Develop textures needed for particle and FX in Photoshop
-Work with artists and designers to create all special effects
-Develop material and particle shaders using tools such as Unreal
Requirements:
-Minimum 3-5 years game industry experience
-Experience in first person shooters and/or action adventure games
-Production experience with high end CG Effects systems utilizing particle systems, dynamics, and procedural animation (Maya/MAX/etc)
-Understanding of real time game effects techniques such as sprites, vertex/pixel shaders and normal mapping
