Job details: Founded in 2001 and located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, this company is a potent mix of industry vets and fresh talent, offering full game development, ports, and consulting for all current and next-generation consoles. They have been extremely successful working with licensed properties from companies such as Disney, Warner Brothers, Nike, NASCAR, and the NFL. They are currently looking for great talent to help them embark on several new and exciting projects.

They are looking for an experienced Art Director with a passion for quality and an eagerness to work in a world-class game development studio. Our client prides itself on collaborative teamwork, open communication, and their commitment to the highest quality in both their products and their reputation.

Responsibilities:

- Work with the art, design and engineering teams to develop, convey and implement the game?s visual direction.
- Supervise the art team and ensure consistent company visual quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with the project Producer and Art Production Manager to create and execute the art schedule. Ensure art deliverables meet project defined deadlines and budgets.
- Evaluate, design and problem solve technical art processes with art leads and engineering team.
- Facilitate and maintain the production of the art design documents with the art leads.
- Lead publisher/marketing presentations, art reviews and team meetings.

Qualifications:

- BA in Art or equivalent field, or BS/BA in Computer Graphics, or equivalent educational experience
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant industry experience, including at least 3 years of leadership experience.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient at MS Project, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
- Strong organizational skills that translate into successful and timely deliverables.
- Demonstrable experience managing large teams and schedules.
- Familiarity with game development and the interrelation between game design and game art.
- A background and understanding of art design and principles, including but not limited to; color theory, composition, and lighting.
- Base knowledge of popular 2D and 3D software packages, Photoshop, Maya, ZBrush and 3D Max.
- Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic.
