Title: Technical Support Specialist, Motionbuilder, 60505
Location: Toronto, ON or Montreal, QC
Role/Purpose:
We are seeking a dynamic, energetic and technically competent product expert to join our highly successful team. Primary focus will be on MotionBuilder product support including Python scripting and FBX. Provides direct technical support and necessary on-site training or consultancy to internal and external customers and partners. Works with Product Development to improve product quality.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responds to customer support requests for support via telephone or electronic queue. Utilizes internal resources and/or knowledge-based tools to diagnose and resolve technical issues. Escalates unresolved customer issues to appropriate staff or management.
- Documents internal and external customer and partner interactions and problem resolutions in knowledge-based system. May publish technical documents for internal and public use. May also use database to access customer call history.
- Research, verify, and generate detailed defect reports and enhancement requests. Uses these reports to prioritize bugs. Reports bugs, serious defects and requests to product development team for prioritization.
- Investigates, develops and presents formal and informal training on Autodesk products and support issues as assigned. May provide onsite support programs or consulting services to external customers.
- May develop training plans and mentor new product support team members. May also direct work or create work schedules.
Requirements:
- Bachelor?s degree (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years using MotionBuilder software in a customer support or production environment.
- Must have above average troubleshooting skills, strong analytical problem solving skills, and the ability to interpret technical questions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills.
Desired Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to produce high quality work in a fast-paced environment, with minimum supervision.
- Experience developing Python scripts and MEL scripts for Maya a plus.
- Film/Video Production, Visual Effects, Certified Training experience a plus.
- Expertise with motion capture systems is a significant plus.
