Job details:
Coordinate the TV Center's technical plant activities, within guidelines: open and close facility; determine and set-up studio configurations; power and set-up studio and field equipment; ensure equipment availability; oversee use and operation of facilities and equipment; train, schedule, assign/review work of student and casual employees. Provide technical support and assistance to staff, students, and clients. Train users in technical procedures and operations including editing, master control on-air operations, post-production, computer graphics work, and new media technology and software. Recommend capital equipment purchases and perform system analysis and design; research, evaluate, test, install, and operate equipment. Maintain inventory and order supplies and equipment.
High School diploma or equivalent and some relevant technical training. Relevant certification is a plus. 2- 3 years working in a TV Studio, Video production, Post-production, or New media facility. Working in team environments, and under dead-lines. Educational television or industrial video production experience is a plus.Expertise in both network hardware and software to serve as a resource to junior technical support staff on the majority of standard procedures and some non-recurring problems and non-standard situations. Knowledge of Photoshop CS, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Motion, DVD Studio Pro, Flash, Dreamweaver, Pro-tools, Garageband.Webcasting and Streaming media. Experience with Internet applications, html, podcasting, Streaming Codecs (RealProducer, Windows Media, Quicktime).EFP and ENG Production workflows and broadcasting operations, stage/Studio lighting are preferred.
