University of California - Berkeley is looking for Producer-Director
Job details: - The successful candidate will assist the dept. manager in planning every aspect of the media services operation including equipment scheduling, staffing needs, and consultation with Haas staff, faculty, and students.
- Provide support of the School's "Will Call" equipment window and general media support to Haas faculty, staff and students.
- Research new equipment and processes, determine and maintain proper equipment inventories.
- Duties include video recording, editing, video encoding and streaming, backup tech for video teleconferencing/distance learning applications and equipment.
- Provide technical support to faculty, staff, and students in their use of AV equipment.
- Act as liaison for all potential users of AV facilities.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
- Supervision of student employees.
- Additional duties as required
Graduation from college with major in instructional media or communications or a related field and four years of professional medias production experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated knowledge of highly technical video and multimedia production methods and delivery systems. Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and maintain audiovisual systems and facilities for use in labs, classrooms, and public areas.
Preferred:
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office computer programs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and NetMeeting
