Softimage Xsi: xsi3... shape animation presets.

okay so im having just a little trouble with saving out shape animation as a DSpreset... in order to save/load shape clips from one scene to another without actually having the source model in the current scene. i know two heads are better than one, but 200?? if anyone could help it would be much appreciated.
