PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serves as main internal point of contact for worldwide product strategy. Builds strong internal partnerships with Product Marketing, Field Marketing, Product Design and Development. Defines product strategy and prioritizes plans for specific markets. Incorporates country product/business strategies into overall product development plans for assigned products.
Develops and owns revenue targets for the product segment. Responsible for measurement of sales results. Works with Business Line Manager to gather data, measure effectiveness, and determine profitability. Performs an objective analysis of a potential Geo/regional opportunity to provide a basis for investment, and later measure actual results versus planned.
Works with key customers or prospects to identify unsolved problems in market that are both urgent and pervasive and that people are willing to pay to solve. Proposes innovative products that leverage the organization’s distinctive competence.
Creates the product roadmaps that align with division strategies and manages the entire product/product line life cycle from concept through strategic planning to tactical activities.
Supports Technical Product Manager throughout the Product Design, Development and QA process. Helps with customer validation and prioritization of new features and overall product plan.
Requirements:
College Degree from an accredited institution in Business, Architecture, Engineering; or equivalent experience. MBA is preferred.
7+ years product management software experience in a high technology business with specific experience in design or CAD desktop software businesses desired
Broad range of marketing experience with emphasis on product planning, product management, business development and product introductions, including experience in quantitative and qualitative market research
Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to be highly successful in a matrix management organization.
Strong evangelical and presentation skills & experience in front of large groups
