Senior Instructional Designer

Location: Denver (Lower Downtown)
IP Commerce, Inc. is a Denver-based software company that enables open payments networks where banks and service providers can seamlessly deliver payment services to any business. Our solutions set includes an infrastructure software platform for hosting payments networks as well as toolkits for integrating services, devices, and applications to payments networks.
The Senior Instructional Designer will develop and maintain education materials and tools for IP Commerce products and solutions. This position is responsible for analyzing education needs and creating effective materials and instructional tools to effect user adoption of IP Commerce technology. The instructional designer will research knowledge needs of IP Commerce partners and users; identify and document learning objectives; and design, develop, and deliver the appropriate instructional content. Deliverables will vary based on user and product requirements, but include instruction guides, online training modules, videos and demonstrations, and face-to-face delivery. Responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing education content for a variety of audiences and technical proficiencies
- Working closely with IP Commerce Participant Services, Solutions, and Marketing groups to understand participant profiles and education needs
- Working closely with Product Development teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of information
- Driving projects through all aspects of delivery, including planning, design, development, review, coordination of other resources, and preparation for final delivery
- Helping to develop high-level architecture for IP Commerce Educational Services and facilitate its adoption and implementation
- Recommending appropriate forms of media and learning technologies (including e-learning)
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience designing, developing, and delivering end user education and training materials
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Proven ability to analyze technical information and grasp complex concepts for communication to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience developing educational materials for products released to consumer markets
- Understanding of and experience applying adult learning principles
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and project tracking skills
- Experience with e-learning authoring or online help tools, preferably Flash, Captivate, or Camtasia
