Lead Animator
We are looking for a kick-ass animator that can do realistic and stylized animations for both human and fantasy monsters. This position is for our Seattle team, working on the recently announced Flagship game Mythos. This is an awesome opportunity to work on an highly anticipated title and really make a creative difference. We believe in giving our artists lots of creative input and rewarding individual initiative.
Primary responsibility is animating the main player characters, as well as key monsters and NPCs. Other duties include managing outsourced animation when necessary (work can be farmed out at your discretion), building or specifying rig set-ups and exporting animation into the game. The team is relatively flat, organizationally, but the position will work closely with other leads and the Creative Director.
Required Skills:
· Several years professional experience working on games. Extra points for having worked on top-down (isometric) games.
· Expert character animation ability in 3DS Max and Character Studio.
· Experience animating for real-time 3D games, including walk cycles, looping animations, transitions, etc.
· Experience rigging and skin-weighting in 3DS Max.
· Be an avid gamer with a passion for creating top-quality games.
· Good verbal and written communication skills.
Bonus Points Awarded:
· Experience managing or working with off-site contractors.
