Softimage Xsi: xsi promotion

i caught this on another mailing list:


"For those u dont know, and most of you probably, AVID is gonna make a

promotion next month and until December, there will be significant price

cuts on both versions of XSI, so a connection for XSI is a must i believe "


any one have any insights to this and what we can expect.
