Personal skills:

- Be a highly creative and versatile Animator.

- Must enjoy challenges, be an avid learner and work well under pressure.

- Must have a passion and confidence for animation along with fundamental knowledge and understanding of the 3D animation process (rigging, tools and other technical needs inherent to computer animation).

- Highly knowledgeable of at least one 3D animation package (preferably Maya).

- Traditional animation, other 2D skills and/or film experience a plus.

- Must be capable and willing to work within the technical requirements of the game's design as well as the limitations of the game's platform.

- Not be afraid to rework animations over several times, or even change them entirely if needed while striving to achieve the level of quality required.

Teamwork skills:

- Support the Animation Lead(s) throughout the project by being a self-reliant animator and taking the initiative wherever appropriate to make the project more successful.

- Assist other Animators when help is requested.

- Be willing to exchange your ideas, knowledge and skills with teammates and put them at the service of the project.

- Meet with the Lead(s) and character designer(s) to get a clear sense of the "personality" of a specific character. During this phase the Animator will sketch out attitudes, poses and motions for said character until the Leads are satisfied the Animator understands the character.

- Senior Artist / Animator is expected to handle any issues that arise in production efficiently and in a professional manner.

Extra:

- You will possess exceptional rigging, weighting and animating abilities. Previous work experience will have included creating realistic human, animal and/or creature animations for (character based) AAA action/adventure next-gen console titles.

- You will have a minimum of 5 years videogame animation experience, having shipped (full-cycle) 2+ console titles.

- Strong technical knowledge - especially in the use of sophisticated [console based] character animation systems - is extremely desirable.

ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY DEMO CD or REEL THAT SHOWS EXTENSIVE 3D ANIMATION.
