Job details:
POSITION SUMMARY:
Develop, create and produce innovative network quality television production of Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins pre game and post game shows and other studio shows, as assigned by the coordinating producer and/or executive producer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Produce live pre and post game shows and other post produced studio shows to include formatting, editorial and composition.
- Develop and implement a focused role for all talent assigned to the telecast.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding for the production and programming vision for the network and ensure that pre and post game shows and other shows are consistent with NESN’s business strategy.

- Continuously improve shows by working with the coordinating producer to conduct screenings of the telecasts for the staff and talent to review their work.
- Determine production needs and coordinate and schedule resources – personnel and other - effectively.
- Work with Operations and coordinating producer to ensure technical ops needs are met for each show.
- Provide consistent and annual feedback to Coordinating Producer on individual PA performance and development needs.
- Provide feedback to technical and production managers on the performance of his/her employees.
- Participate in training and mentoring junior level staff e.g. associate producers, production assistants, etc.
- Make recommendations to the coordinating producer and/or executive producer for show improvements on a consistent basis throughout the course of the season.
- Perform other duties as assigned and required by the coordinating and/or executive producers
EDUCATION:
· Bachelor's degree in Communications, Broadcasting, Radio/TV/Film, or equivalent work experience required.
Qualifications:
· 5+ years experience in live event or news production and technical operations is necessary.
· 2+ years experience producing live sports events or news production – in an associate producer or producer role
· Experience with production budgets is helpful.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills are required.
· Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment across various departments.
· A demonstrated ability work under limited supervision in a high pressure and loosely structured environment is essential.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook is necessary.
The ability to operate studio and remote production equipment is required.
Experience with linear and non-linear editing equipment is preferred.
Full knowledge of production equipment and inner workings of production facilities.
