CG artists needed for Serious Games

Kea Studios (www.keastudios.com) is focused on developing serious games for training and learning in high-risk occupations (eg. firefighting, haz mat, oil spill response etc). We design our games with outstanding graphics, realistic physics, dynamic environment and unique game play that culminate in a engaging and fun experience for the user. We welcome artists from CG, interior design and architecture background. For those who love designing realistic models, this is certainly a field you want to be involved in.

3D Modeller
› Excellent in creating accurate and detailed models from reference images
› Ability to model, UV map, and create textures
› Proficiency in 3D Studio Max or Maya
› 3D modellers candidates are required to show mod samples, 3D models & screenshots

Nice to have
Concept Art
Experience in normal map generation, polybump

Animator
› Lead in art direction
› Proficient in rigging models for animation
› Proficiency in 3D Studio Max or Maya

Animation candidates must have a portfolio and reel that demonstrates:
› A strong artistic background, with numerous examples of life drawing
› Layout and/or character design
› The portfolio should focus on the human form and its movement.
› Strong understanding of classic animation principles and fundamentals
(i.e.; Squash and Stretch, Staging, timing and Motion, anticipation, exaggeration, follow through, arcs and appeal.)
› An intrinsic ability for storytelling.

Nice to have
Acting and cinematography skills
Sculpture skills

We are keen on having team members who not only have the relevant skills and experiences, but also the positive attitude to match. We pay well according to skills, and experience for full-time and freelance positions. We also do encourage fresh graduates to apply. Freelance positions can be based anywhere in Malaysia, but full-time positions will be required to relocate to Miri, Sarawak.
