Description
Develop the techniques and tools that push the art in Factor 5 games to the next generation.
Responsibilities
? Research and adapt new techniques and technologies to real-time 3D game graphics
? Explore ways to realize the artistic vision of a game with increased efficiency
? Work with the programming staff to develop new production tools
? Troubleshoot technical art issues that arise during development
? Research and test 3rd party software that may assist in increased efficiency and/or better looking art assets
? Assist with the roll-out of new art techniques and tools to the Art Department
? Create special effects
? Excel as a team player: work well with artists and engineers.
Qualifications
? 2 years of production experience in film or games.
? Strong technical background and understanding of real-time 3D graphics.
? Computer programming and MEL scripting experience preferred.
? Prior experience creating natural particle effects (fire, smokes etc.) is a plus.
? Strong knowledge of Maya 6 Dynamics and particle systems, After Effects, and Photoshop preferred.
? Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Demo Reel Requirements
? Examples of previous work from games or film.
Include a credit list which documents what you have worked on yourself, and what contributions others made to the pieces in your demo reel.
Online applicants should Include a resume/CV and a URL for an online demo reel.
Alternatively, forward cover letter, resume/CV and demo reel (DVD or CD) to Factor 5. Demo reels will not be returned.
