Job Details: This position will be part of a new team that has the mission to advance the state of Tivoli user interfaces through the design, prototyping, development, and piloting of compelling techniques and technologies related to our products interfaces to our end users. The person filling this role must have a hybrid skill set: 1) Visual Design - ability to create custom, polished,and professional visuals and graphics 2) Human factors - Must have customer experience and understand their goals and needs 3) Development - Must be able to create prototypes of the visual concepts using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Preferred locations for this position are RTP, Austin, San Jose, or Bedford but will consider other qualified candidates.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience should include:
- Major Field of Study: Graphics Design, Communication Arts, Computer Science with a focus on graphics design
- Graphics Design using tools like Photoshop
- UI Design
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Usability Concepts and Methods
- Flash
- Usability concepts and methods
- Flash
- Experience with systems management software
- Requirements gathering
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communications skills
