Starting Date: Immdiate Hire, duration - Permenant
Job details: Located in Bellevue, Washington, ArenaNet is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Korea-based NCsoft Corporation. ArenaNet is looking for a talented IT Systems Engineer to support the corporate and gaming networks behind one of today’s greatest MMOs, Guild Wars. You must be capable of administering a globally distributed network of servers, be intimately familiar with troubleshooting server, network and security issues, and know how to secure systems against some of the most motivated hackers in the world.
You’ll have the opportunity to provide top-tier administration for our global network, secure and enhance our existing solutions against the ever-increasing array of exploits, develop new strategies to more easily manage our large server farms, and help us adapt to new technologies and hardware solutions as we develop additional products.
Requirements: Expert with Windows Server 2003 platform including Active Directory configuration, GPO care & feeding, process automation and server performance monitoring and tuning.
Significant experience with server administration using scripting language(s).
Experience with IP networking including DNS, DHCP, ACLs, IPSEC tunneling, IP routing, etc.
Demonstrated ability in systems design, implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting in a 24x7x365 production environment spanning multiple remote datacenters.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to produce usable and maintainable documentation.
Experience with SAN technologies and NAS storage solutions a plus.
Experience installing and maintaining Linux, Apache, PHP, MYSQL, a plus.
