Blizzard Entertainment is looking for Senior 3D Character Artist
Job details: Blizzard Entertainment is currently looking for a talented and motivated character artist for our Diablo III art team. Experience modeling and texturing assets for a diverse visual range of environments and a solid grasp of form, color, and light for both 2D and 3D art assets are also essential. You must also able to work well in an environment of artists who are passionate about making great games, skilled in another art task (illustration, modeling, texturing, animation, or concept drawing), and well-versed in related tools (Maya, Photoshop, etc.).
Requirements:
* 3+ years experience in game development modeling and texturing characters using Maya and Photoshop (or equivalent 3D and 2D programs)
* An exceptional understanding of human and non-humanoid anatomy and a keen eye towards form, shape, structure, and silhouette in regards to modeling
* A firm understanding of painting textures consistent with Blizzard Entertainment's visual style
* Self-motivation, good communication skills, and a great team-player attitude
* Skill in one or more of the related creation tasks -- illustration, modeling, texturing, animation, and concept drawing
Pluses
* Have shipped AAA PC or console titles as a 3D character artist
* Strong foundation in the traditional arts, including but not limited to figure drawing and illustration
