Job details: Mission

As part of the International Product Marketing team and working under the HQ Artistic Director, you will manage our local team (Beijing, China) producing visual elements such as screenshots, promotional images, videos and slideshows. You will ensure the artistic development of these elements and manage the local team through organizing, planning, training and recruiting. The current team includes 17 employees spread out over 2 divisions (mobile games and console games), with a local manager leading each division.

As part of an international team and working closely with the Artistic Manager and our Manager in charge of Marketing Document Production in Paris, you will perform the following duties:

-Interface between the Product Marketing and local teams: send and explain briefings from headquarters to artists or local managers in charge of each project.
-Give artistic advice to teams, decide on necessary corrections and supervise changes in order for the visual elements meet the requirements of the initial briefings.
-Train and follow up on the two local managers in their quality control process and deadlines.
-Set up evaluation processes for artists, set goals for each team and artist in collaboration with the local managers.
-Evaluate hiring needs depending on the general workload and define profiles and hiring tests when recruiting new artists.
-Support and train teams and evaluate hardware/software needs depending on the progress of the projects.
-Report daily and weekly to the Artistic Manager and the Production Manager.

Requirements: Profile

-You have a bachelor degree with at least two years of general studies (bac +2), with at least 3 years’ experience in graphic or video creation and have already managed a creative team.
-You are passionate about video games and are fascinated by the latest trends in media and entertainment (animation, comics, movies, web), and you are creative and show excellent critical skills.
-You have excellent image and video processing skills using software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere and/or Sony Vegas and/or Final Cult
-Knowledge of Adobe After Effects or other specific software (Quicktime Pro, Audacity, Virtual Dub) is an asset. You are also comfortable with interfaces and video wiring: PC/video configuration, wiring, specific hardware (console dev kits)
-You are thorough and hard-working, and you possess interpersonal and organizational skills that allow you to complete a project within given time limits. Your practicality helps you find and apply the best solutions to continue.
-You are fluent in English, with fluency or an interest in learning Chinese an asset.



Location: The position, which can be permanent or as part of an international internship program (VIE), is based in Gameloft’s studio in Beijing, China. A training period of 1 to 2 months at the beginning of the contract will take place at the company’s headquarters in Paris, France.
