maya - blendshapes dont work as i need

hi!
i have a head model, i did two blendshapes,one with smile and second one with same smile but bottom lips displaying teeth.
if i apply both in whatever order..it wont work as they calculating one on the top of each other..
please if you have any idea how to make the head smile first and pull the bottom lips after, please let me know, most appreciated.

It sounds like you may have made a duplicate of your copy. With blend shapes you have to make an exact duplicate of the first model or it will affect your expressions. Say if something changed while doing the smile. Also, don't freeze the tranformation. But that's all I can think off from you discription.

Also when you go into create deformers, explore using the parallel, and split deformers under the advance tab.
