Percolate Digital is looking for CG Artist

Job details: Percolate Digital is looking for innovative animators to join our 2010 creative team.

Applicants should be well-versed in deadline-oriented compositing, CG, motion tracking, and rotoscoping. Our applicants aren’t required to have all these skills, though the more the merrier.

Percolate is a VFX company specializing in non-fiction CG & VFX for broadcast & non-broadcast television.

Our most recent series, “Solving History for Olly Steeds”, is currently airing on Discovery Channel on Wednesdays at 10pm EST/PST (9pm central).

Past credits include the “Treasure Quest’ series, the 1hr special “Secrets of the Secret Service” and aired pilot “Monster Tracker” for Discovery Channel, “Digging for the Truth” for The History Channel, and “E:60” for ESPN.

Requirements: We are interested in individuals with:
- minimum 5 years of experience producing CG and VFX for deadline-oriented network television (this is critical)
- familiarity with compositing software (After Effects preferred)
o specific CG software platform is not critical as our artists all work in different environments
- the ability to create practical solutions to technical and aesthetic challenges without relying solely on one piece of software
- the capacity to work in a remote setting primarily via e-mail, Skype and FTP (including consistent access to a fast internet server)
- the capability to create photorealistic CG environments in addition to more technical/informational graphics
- the ability to systematically address all notes provided by either Percolate Art Director and/or client(s)
- superior time-management skills including a flexible work schedule that can adhere to due dates as they change
- the ability to “think outside the box” to convey the essence of a shot quickly and efficiently. (Academic or hands-on knowledge of traditional “non-CG” visual effects techniques is a definite bonus.)


Location: Our primary hub is Washington, D.C. however our animators can work from anywhere in the world.
