Castello Creative is looking for 3D Modeler needed for Motion Capture Project
Job details: This is a motion capture project based on a scene from the classic science fiction novel, Ender\'s Game, by Orson Scott Card.
I need a 3D artist to create a corridor in the Battle School space station as well as the Battle Room environment. I also need an artist to create the Flash Suit costumes and some props for the scene.
I\'ve already shot all the motion capture footage (simulating zero gravity) with the help of an experienced stunt coordinator who donated his time, his wire-rigging equipment, and a team of stunt people who wanted some mocap experience.
I am a graduate student in the Film Production program at USC\'s School of Cinematic Arts and I\'m working on my final project for the Advanced Motion Capture series of classes.
It doesn\'t pay much but it\'s an opportunity to work on a project that will be screened for the legendary director, Robert Zemeckis, the man who helmed such films as Back to the Future, Forrest Gump, Cast Away, as well as the ground-breaking mocap films: The Polar Express, Beowulf, and A Christmas Carol.
I am being graded only on the motion capture of the performance -- the work in IQ, MotionBuilder, and FaceRobot -- and for the overall cinematic direction of the scene. So I am more than willing to give credit where credit is due for creation of the environment and the costumes and props.
Again, this is a student project, not a high paying gig. You will definitely receive Copy & Credit and the opportunity to screen your work to VIPs in the film biz. I\'m a full-time student on financial aid so I don\'t have much money. Having said that, I do have a small budget for effects work on this project so if you are interested please don\'t hesitate to contact me and give me a quote for your work. If your quote is anywhere close to what my budget can pay I will try to work things out with you.
If you would like more information, such as time frame, script, storyboards, etc., please contact me.
Requirements: You would be free to work in whatever 3D modeling app you prefer, as long as your work can be readily imported into Maya.
Location: Central Los Angeles, need not be local to be considered.
