Oktobor Animation is looking for Seeking Maya Animator - Auckland, New Zealand - Penguins of Madagascar
Starting Date: mid to late 2010, duration - long-term contracts available up to 2 years
Job details: Oktobor Animation is currently in production on long-from broadcast CG animation for Nickelodeon, the global broadcast network reaching more than 400 million viewers worldwide.
We are seeking a few Maya character animators to join our team on fun shows such as THE PENGUINS OF MADAGASCAR with even more exciting but currently \"underwraps\" titles later this year. Long-term contracts are available for the right fit.
All skill levels are welcome to apply. Production experience is of course preferred, but not required if your latest animation reel shows that you’ve got what it takes! This is also a great opportunity for motivated new talent to gain experience, get a foot in the door, and show the world what you can do in well run productions.
Practice your craft under a superb animation director in a creative atmosphere on polished shows your friends and family can see all around the globe.
Oktobor Animation is located on Sale Street in Freemans Bay/Auckland CBD.

Requirements: High proficiency in Autodesk Maya
Must be able to comprehend and execute direction to create motion and personality for CG characters.
Must have passion and dedication for Character Animation.
Must be responsive to deadlines and work well under pressure.
