Animating a carousel

I'm not sure this message will get up. If it does I am trying to animate a carousel. One where chairs move outwards as it spins (not the horse up-and-down kind). I'm looking for tutorials or book titles or any resource that will help. I'd attach an image of the model, but I haven't found the attachment option. The animation tutorials I've seen here seem to be more biped orientated as are most books.
