Nerd Corps Entertainment is looking for Junior Modeler
Starting Date: ASAP, duration - Permanent
Job details: Position: Junior Modeler
Start Date: ASAP
Department: Modeling
We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic individuals with strong skills in 3D modeling and texturing for television broadcast. The successful candidates will be an integral part of our modeling team, creating visually captivating character and environment models while at the same time meeting production deadlines.
Job Requirements:
• The desire to break the conventional visual boundaries of 3D animated television series and take a significant role in creating a fresh look with a fusion of styles .
• Thorough understanding of all aspects of 3D modeling including rigging, weighting, texturing, geometry sculpting and shaders.
• Full working knowledge of Softimage XSI.
• Texture and Matte painting skills and/or knowledge of the principles would be beneficial but not mandatory.
• Strong problem solving skills with the ability to think outside the box and find new innovative ways of creating visual elements in 3D.
• A strong understanding of color, form, light and texture.
Requirements: Qualifications:
• Degree/Diploma in fine arts or 3D Modeling
• Basic understanding of facial shape animation
• Proficient in modeling, texturing, weighting and rendering in XSI
• Working knowledge of Photoshop or other high-end 2D painting programs
• Working knowledge of the Windows operating system
• Basic understanding of the animation process
• Knowledge of scripting is an asset, but not necessary
• Works well in a team environment
• Thrives in a high pressure, deadline oriented environment
• Able to follow direction and take criticism professionally
• Has a good sense of aesthetics
