SOFA Studio is looking for Environment/Sets Designer
Job details: SOFA Studio is seeking an Environment/Sets Designer to join our studio for our new animated feature film.
As an Environment/Sets Designer, the successful applicant would be responsible for: Creating original and interesting environment designs that follow the style and look of the picture.
Essential Job Functions:
• Design environments/sets that can be maintained throughout the production
• Collaborating with other members of the Design team to ensure conformity of the environment design to the film’s overall style
• Reporting directly to the Production Designer and Art Director updating them on a daily basis on the work being done
• Self-managing — organized with good time management. Must be able to identify and meet goals
• Ability to produce designs quickly and efficiently
• Ability to meet daily & weekly deadlines
Requirements: • Previous experience in designing environments and locations for animated projects is a plus
• Excellent drawing ability & demonstrates a superior design ability
• Demonstrate a diversified portfolio
• Strong understanding and experience of the film production process; with an understanding of the 3D build process is a plus
• Ability to work well under stress and to be creative with limited assistance
• Great communication skills a must
• Experience with Photoshop is necessary.
• Mainly communication by English, speaking Mandarin a plus
