Hey Guys
Need some help, i need to make a fishing trap on rhino, like a lobster pot but domed and need equal size hole all over. and idea how one can achieve this?
This is what ive achied so far:
see image 1
The diamond shapes though need to be all equal size with out stretching and deforming once it gets to the sides of the dome.
I was thinking maybe as a set of UV curves like this:
see image 2
But does anyone know how to draw the correct map?
Your help is much appreciated!
Luke

Use a booleen operation to create the fish net. My modeler (Truespace) does this by first creating the base geometry object in the workspace and then right clicking the object and selecting all of the faces and then applying the booleen hollow object tool. The result is a uniformly meshed object.
