Converting .obj .dfx .3ds to IGS STEP STP or X_T

Can anyone help me understand how to convert a file? I have it in copies of .obj .3ds and .dfx - and I'm being told by a model manufacturer that they need it in IGS, STEP, STP or X_T. Does anyone know if I can do this using simple software conversion, or if the model needs to be created from scratch? The file originally was in .dfx format. thanks in advance
