What would I need

To create, render and animate. includes design color basicly every thing. what programs are best or are compatible with each other to do all this or can i just use one program

You can do everything in programs like 3ds Max and Maya, and Blender. All you really need from there is a video editing program. Some free ones like Windows Movie Maker or iMovie are probably already on your computer. There are always other programs like After Effects that will add effects if you want to do more. They're basically all compatible with each other. Just get whatever you like or can afford.

You can download free 30 day trials of Maya and 3ds Max so you can try them and decide which one is best. and Blender is free all the time!
