Okay, so I'm putting together my own short movie. The main (and almost only) character is a simple robot.
Basically, what I've done is, I've created a minimally detailed model robot, rigged him with Biped, and then created all of the scenes (81 to be exact). I've already done the animation and stuff.
NOW I've gone back and made a more detailed version of the robot, and I'm wondering what would be the most efficient way of putting him in to all of those 81 scenes! Is there any way to do this without having to re-skin and position each of the pieces in all 81 scenes?
Is there some kind of way to do this with Xrefs so I can make changes to the model and they are automatically updated in all my scenes?
Thanks for any advice!
btw: here's a link to an early version of the animation before much of the detailing and animation clean-ups: nickhester.blogspot [dot] com/2011/06/alien-robot [dot] html
