Two Independent Eyes Productions/ Christian Hall Media is looking for 3D animator
Starting Date: asap, duration - 4 mos.
Job details: A team of USC developers are looking for additional motion capture enthusiasts who have experience with the Kinect SDK and are interested in developing new hardware. The goal of this project is to utilize multiple Kinect devices and camera devices as an inexpensive and versatile motion capture stage for filmmakers, animators, and game developers on a low budget. It will be a multi-platform entertainment experience to showcase the Kinect's performance capture capabilities and facial scanning.
We are looking for additional Unity 3D game developers skilled in C# and Javascript.
To play a crucial role in creating our Unity 3D game demo, we are looking for character artists, character riggers, and environment artists – as well as 2D character and environment concept artists. Throughout the Spring, a proof-of-concept will be developed in a Unity-powered game & short film. We are looking for students to join this fun and innovative project at a part-time basis, with no direct compensation - however, at the end of Spring 2012, your work will be showcased to Microsoft as the part of an incredible prototype.
Requirements:
Recommended software experience (Need to be comfortable with one of these - not necessary all of them):
3d Studio Max
Maya
Mudbox/Zbrush
Unity 3D
Skills (Need to be comfortable with one of these - not necessary all of them):
Character modeling, rigging, or animating (especially humanoids)
Use of motion capture data to animate characters
Environment modeling
Texture Painting/UV Mapping/Normal Mapping
Lighting/Lightmapping
