Pirate Entertainment is looking for Lead 3D Artist
Starting Date: ASAP, duration - Permanent
Job details: Hey there,
Pirate Entertainment is looking for someone with good knowledge of 3D art, including the rigging, modelling and texturing processes, as well as cinematics, to lead our 3D art department. You would also be required to advise the designers and programmers in issues related to art.
It would be your job to lead and advise our modellers, texture artists and animators throughout the development of our games. You would need to learn their strengths and weaknesses, assigning work based on that.
You'd need to advise the game designers and programmers in graphics-related issues, and assist in recruiting for the 3D art department.
As well as the knowledge, you would also need organizational and communication skills.
The position is potentially paid, as we do intend to sell the finished game. We can't guarantee this, however. As this is a permanent position, we ask that you are willing to stay with us for more than one game.
We're a friendly team, mostly hobbyists but with some interest in commercial development; the team itself could become a commercial development company in the future, if things go well.
You won't be under too much pressure, as release dates aren't set in stone until we're just adding the final touches, but we do ask that you're prepared to put some time and dedication into the project.
Thanks for reading. If you're interested, please send me an email!
