Bloomfield College is looking for Adjunct teaching position - 3DMayaand Photoshop

Job details: Autodesk Maya3D and PhotoShop Instructor:
The Creative Arts and Technology Division at Bloomfield College in Bloomfield, NJ is a small liberal arts school 30 minutes for NYC. The Animation program has concentrated study in 2D & 3D animation, with a Stop-Motion and Motion Capture Studio at our facility. The CAT division is looking for an experienced 3D Maya and Photoshop adjunct instructor, who is talented in creating character models, animation, and understands good storytelling. Beginning September 2015, we have an advanced Maya3D class, which includes rigging and some special effects, and a Photoshop class. They are both on Tuesday; Photoshop in the morning (10am-1:45pm), and 3D Animation with 3DMaya in the afternoon (2-5:45). The classes run for 14 weeks beginning August 31st in lecture/demo setting. Weekly outlines and/or a course objective can be provided.
We are focused on teaching 3D modelers and animators that will work in a variety of fields including the computer animation (narrative), gaming, and pre-visualization fields. Eligible applicants should be well versed in Maya 3D, After Effects and Photoshop.
Responsibilities:
-Teach undergraduate level students using Maya3D
-Provide insights and expertise to help young 3D artists utilize the next generation of modeling & animation tools.
-Provide a positive learner centered educational environment.
Requirements: Qualifications:
-Bachelors or Masters Degree in Animation or a similar field
-Posses’ good experience in all aspects of 3D computer modeling, texture mapping, lighting, rendering and rigging.
-Strong understanding of 3DMaya, After Effects and Photoshop.
-Strong traditional fine art skills.
-Attention to high quality 3D modeling & animation with detail.
-Solid understanding of art fundamentals to include color theory, light, shade and form.
-Great communication skills both written and verbal.
-A collaborative work ethic.
